Even though this is in Japanese, one should get the gist of some of the jokes if they are fans of all the games.♥ I’ll give a bit of info on those I could.
1st comic: In the 1st two games, you can negotiate and speak with the demons/enemies you encounter. Starting Persona 3, you’re not up against demons anymore and are against shadows. Shadows cannot be negotiated with obviously.
4th comic: In Persona 3 and 4, only the main protagonist goes into the Velvet room. In the 1st two games, your entire party may enter the Velvet room. Part of the joke here I think is how in the 1st two games, the Velvet room is pretty plain without much stuff in it, while in Persona 4, you’re in the back of a limo complete with a mini bar in it as far as I guess. Tatsuya and Naoya obviously are enjoying this version of the Velvet room.
7th comic: Partly this is a joke on how in Persona 4: Animation, Aika seems to deliver near anywhere. The other joke here is that in the 1st two games the player may go and feed their party food. Partly to sate their hunger, and also for added effects and such like +on vitality or something.
8th comic: Shadow selves weren’t a first in Persona 4. The previous games had them too. Only difference is, in Persona 4, they encounter their shadows if they end up in the midnight channel. While the person with the shadow counterpart stays back or fall unconscious or something, the player/and his party will then proceed to defeat the shadow. In the earlier games, the shadow selves are encountered well after the characters have already earned their Persona’s. This of course means that, the character himself/herself can help defeat their own shadows, no sweat!
And that’s about all I could actually explain. I kinda get what the other jokes are about… But not what the joke specifically is. Others I don’t get at all. 8P
I like this.♥
I especially like the artists rendition for the Persona 2 cast~~
Tagging ALL CHARACTERS!
Alright, so there have been some folks who have asked me if my inspiration for my “storybook” style is the PV of the Vocaloid song, “Dark Woods Circus”. And yes, it indeed is. However, there was another artist whom I admired who inspired the style, and actually became an influence even before the popular Vocaloid song.
This artist/circle was “Trasoquilizer”. Unfortunately, the site where I’d view their work doesn’t seem to be up anymore which is quite a shame. However, I was able to find some of their works on Photobucket and would now like to share some with you to show you all my inspiration.
Of course, I’m not nearly as skilled as the person even after all these years… TwT
